Bakery Department Manager
Unique opportunity for a highly-qualified individual to manage production and sales in one of Western
New York’s busiest and best supermarket retail bakeries. Mostly Scratch/Mix production, filled in with
some Bake Off and parbaked products.
The current manager is retiring in March 2024. The Bakery Manager reports to the Store Manager and
consults with management on all areas of the supermarket’s operation.
2022 Bakery Department sales $1.5 million; 2023 est. $1.7 million. 20 employees
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ bakery management experience, skilled in
mixing, creatng, baking, and finishing the full spectrum of retail and wholesale fresh bakery products,
including breads, rolls, cake, sweet dough and doughnuts in a high-volume environment. Further, the
candidate will have similar experience in the hiring, training and supervising of a diverse work force to do the same. The candidate will have a proven track record of successful leadership in a high-volume retail bakery environment and will be proficient in all areas of the retail bakery operation management. Delegation and communication skills are very helpful.
Premium Pay -- $55,000 -- $60,000/year plus bonus opportunities and benefits including Medical
Insurance, Paid Holidays, Paid Vacations, Retirement Plan and good working conditions alongside
