Pastry Chef & Educator Derek Corsino brings over twenty years of culinary expertise to small-scale production solutions. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Derek has distinguished himself as both a skilled practitioner and dedicated educator in the baking industry.
As a four-time Food Network competitor, Derek has demonstrated his skills on the national stage while building a successful specialty cake business in New York's Hudson Valley. His educational career spans eleven years across prestigious institutions including Santa Rosa Junior College, Napa Valley College, The Culinary Institute of America, and Healdsburg High School in Northern California.
Derek's teaching expertise covers the full spectrum of culinary arts, from baking and pastry to hospitality management and business finance. In 2024, he achieved his Certified Master Baker certification with the Retail Bakers of America, cementing his commitment to excellence in the baking profession.
Currently launching his new consulting company, Flour & Vision, Derek continues to bridge the gap between artisan quality and practical production solutions for small-scale operations.
